CNC CO2 Laser Cut Backlight Reflector for the Aerospace Industry

The backlight reflector shown here was fabricated for an aerospace customer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Designed for use in LED displays for an avionics application, it was composed of a Gore DRP diffuse reflector material. The laser cutting was performed on our state of the art CNC CO2 laser cutting equipment, which was able to maintain tolerances of ±0.0025″. The finished product which measured 6.100″ in length, 6.100″ in width, and 0.020″ thick, was also thoroughly cleaned after laser cutting.

Each of the 200 pieces that we manufacture annually for this customer are subject to dimensional, CMM, visual, and final inspection.
