CNC CO2 Laser Cut Backlight Reflector for the Aerospace Industry
We fabricated the backlight reflector shown here for an aerospace customer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The customer designed this for use in LED displays for an avionics application using a Gore DRP diffuse reflector material. The laser cutting was performed on our state of the art CNC CO2 laser cutting equipment, which was able to maintain tolerances of ±0.0025″. After we laser cut this part, we finish by thoroughly cleaning to remove any residue.
Each of the 200 pieces that we manufacture annually for this customer are subject to dimensional, CMM, visual, and final inspection.
